Public Hearing Notice The Middle Fork Crow River Watershed District (MFCRWD) Board of Managers will be holding a public hearing on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the MFCRWD conference room located at 189 County Road 8 NE, Spicer MN to provide the public with an opportunity to hear a presentation on the District’s 2024 proposed budget and property tax levy. A summary of the proposed levies are as follows: General Fund Operating Levy: $478,668.62 County Ditch 47 Improvement Project: $55,000.00 Hubbard, Schultz, Wheeler TMDL Implementation Project: $24,451.20 New London Stormwater Project: $80,832.16 Clean Water Fund: $108,132.71 Liability Insurance Levy: $12,815.00 Total Proposed 2024 Levy: $759,899.69 Copies of the proposed levy details and draft 2024 budget will be available at the public hearing or otherwise can be requested in person at the MFCRWD office during normal business hours, by phone at (320) 796-0888, or via email at dan@mfcrow.org. Persons who are unable to attend the hearing but would like to provide comments to be read into the public hearing record are asked to provide any written comments they wish to share to District Administrator Dan Coughlin no later than 4:30 p.m. on September 13, 2023. After all public comments have been received, it is anticipated that the MFCRWD Board of Managers will consider formal adoption of the presented 2024 budget and associated levy.
